Dr. Hallie Hahn is a board-certified, fellowship-trained ophthalmologist with advanced specialization in refractive and cataract surgery. Passionate about enhancing lifelong visual performance, Dr. Hahn believes refractive surgery is one of the most transformative tools in modern medicine—offering patients freedom from glasses and contact lenses and improving every facet of life, from daily tasks and personal safety to recreation and financial flexibility.
Dr. Hahn offers personalized vision correction through a full range of advanced procedures, including EVO ICL, LASIK, PRK, refractive lens exchange (RLE), and both standard and complex cataract surgeries. Her approach blends the latest surgical innovations with a deeply patient-centered philosophy. She is certified by both the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the World College of Refractive Surgery.
A summa cum laude graduate in biological engineering from the University of Florida, Dr. Hahn earned her medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina. There, she was inducted into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) Honor Society and received the Merck Manual Award for outstanding academic achievement and leadership. She completed her ophthalmology residency at the renowned Storm Eye Institute, where she was honored with the William Vallotton Award for academic excellence.
During her training, Dr. Hahn led a surgical mission trip to Belize with SEE International, performing sight-restoring procedures for underserved patients. She then completed an elite fellowship in refractive surgery through the Refractive Surgery Alliance and the World College of Refractive Surgery at Kugler Vision in Omaha, Nebraska.
Dr. Hahn is an active member of multiple leading professional organizations, including the World College of Refractive Surgery and Visual Sciences, American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, and Women in Ophthalmology.
Now based in Maine with her husband, a member of the United States Coast Guard, Dr. Hahn enjoys outdoor adventures including skiing, hiking, and running. After a long day, she unwinds with a bike ride or walk, and she values quality time spent with family and friends.
